The Prime Minister of Denmark, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, visited label press manufacturer Nilpeter at the company’s global headquarters in Slagelse as part of her re-election campaign. The visit took place on June 2, when she spoke with both Nilpeter management and employees at the factory.

“It is incredibly exciting to visit a company like Nilpeter, where you meet both highly skilled employees who are very happy with their work, and a management team, which clearly states that they want to maintain production in Denmark,” said Helle Thorning-Schmidt during the visit.

“We clearly sense that we are entering a global growth period. We are doing well as a company, we have skilled people, and look positively at the future,” said Peter Eriksen, COO at Nilpeter to a large crowd of reporters. “Nilpeter is a true global player. Today we have manufacturing sites in Europe, the USA and Asia, alongside seven fully-owned daughter companies, to remain close to our markets and to support our customers locally. This is a central part of our strategy, and the decentralization is likely to continue.”

During the one-hour visit, the Prime Minister made a tour of the factory assembly, the machine shop and the Technology Center.
